The Dimmitt Bobcats chalked up another win against the Denver City Mustangs, 67- 49. That puts their record at 6- 7, 3-0.

The Bobcats pushed out front with a narrow lead in the first quarter, 12-10, and continued to hold the lead through the second quarter, ending the first half ahead, 28-25.

The Dimmitt offense went to work in the third quarter and widened their lead while the defense held the Mustang scoring, putting the Bobcats up 49- 37

Dimmitt shot for 62% from the field, sinking 28 or 45; hit seven of 10 free throws for 79%; collected 33 rebounds, 14 assists, seven steals and two blocks.

Top shots for the Bobcats were Acqutavian Baty with 20 points, seven offensive rebounds, 11 defensive rebounds, five assists, one block and one foul; Ivan Moreno with 14 points, one offensive rebound, four defensive rebounds, three assists, two steals and one foul; and CJ Willey with 14 points, two offensive rebounds, three assists and one steal.

Contributing players were Kobe Carpio with seven points, four defensive rebounds, two assists, two steals and two fouls; Anthony Rodriguez with six points and one foul; Gabriel Ontiveros with four points, one offensive rebound, two defensive rebounds, one steal and two fouls; David Fuentes with two points, one assist and one block; and Jordan Garcia with one defensive rebound and one foul.
