Bobcats defeat Wildcats, 56-43

The Dimmitt Bobcats claimed a victory over the Littlefield Wildcats, 56-43.

Dimmitt took the lead in the first quarter 11-4 and widened the gap in the second quarter, closing the first half out ahead 26-14.

The Bobcats continued to make small gains on the Wildcats in the third quarter, 38-24, and took the win in the four quarter, 56-43.

Dimmitt shot 41 percent from the field, sinking 19 of 46, and 76 percent of free throws, 13 of 17. The collected eight assists, five steals and seven blocks.

Top shots for the Bobcats were Acqtavian Batty, with 19 points, two offensive rebounds, nine defensive rebounds, two steals, four blocks and three fouls; CJ Willey with 14 points, three offensive rebounds, four defensive rebounds, and one foul; and Ivan Moreno with 10 points, four defensive rebounds, two assists, one still and two fouls.

Contributing players were Kobe Carpio with seven points, one offensive rebound, five defensive rebounds, one assists, one steal, two blocks and one foul; Anthony Rodruguez with three points, one offensive rebound and one foul; Jordan Garcia with two points, one assist and one foul; Gabriel Ontiveros with four defensive rebounds, one block and six fouls; and Daunte Perez with one defensive rebound, four assists, one steal and one foul.
