Bobcats defeat Wolves, 15-8

The Dimmitt Bobcats came on strong against Dalhart last Tuesday, winning 15-8 The Bobcats got things started in the first inning when Jorge Pena tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring three runs and ending the period leading 6-4.

Dalhart came in with two runs in the bottom of the second inning to tie things up.

Dimmitt pushed out ahead in the third inning scoring two runs, with a run in the fourth, and two runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings. Dalhart added two runs in the seventh.

Bobcats Daegan Robertson hit a homerun in the sixth inning.

The winning pitcher was Jose Medina who hurled the ball for 5.2 innings, 71 strikes in 116 pitches with 11 strikeouts, surrendering six hits, six runs, three walks and one homerun. Edwin Macias pitches for 1.1 innings with eight strikes in 17 pitches, surrendering one hit, two runs and one walk.
