The Dimmitt Bobcats watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 6-4 loss to Friona last Tuesday.
Friona got the edge in the second inning with three runs to Dimmitt’s single run. The Bobcats came in with another run in the third inning on a homerun from Ga’Quorie Chatham. The Chieftains answered with a run in the fourth inning and two more runs in the sixth and seventh innings, with the Bobcats gaining two runs in the seventh.
Losing pitcher was Jose Medina hurled 33 strikes of 72 pitches with two strikeouts in five innings, surrendering three hits, four runs and four walks. Mario Lopez pitched two innings for 21 strikes in 34 pitches with three strikeouts, surrendering four hits and two runs.
