Bobcats edge out Bulldogs, 48-46

The Dimmitt Bobcats won a nail-biter against the Borger Bulldogs, 48-46.

The Bobcats took a narrow lead in the first quarter over the Bulldogs, 7-3, but Borger pushed through in the second quarter to tie the game up 20-20 as the first half ended.

The Bulldogs inched out ahead by three points in the third quarter to take the lead, 31-28. The Bobcats battled in the fourth quarter outscoring Borger by five points and giving the Bobcats a narrow win, 48-46.

Top shots for the Bobcats were Acqtavian Baty with 17 points, four offensive rebounds, 10 defensive rebounds, one steal, one block and four fouls; CJ Wiley with 15 points, five offensive rebounds, four defensive rebounds and two assists; and Ivan Moreno with 14 points, one offensive and defensive rebound, one assist, one steal, one block and four fouls.

Contributing players were Kobe Carpio with one point, two offensive rebounds, seven defensive rebounds, two assists, two steals and two fouls; Daunte Perez with one point, one offensive and defensive rebounds, and one foul; and Anthony Rodriguez with one offensive and defensive rebounds, two assists and two fouls.
