The Dimmitt Bobcats fell to the Spearman Lynx in a district game last Friday, 45-19.

Spearman gained a 28point lead over the Bobcats who scored a single touchdown in the first half. Dimmitt came back in the third quarter to score a touchdown and extra point, matching what the Lynx did, keeping Spearman in the lead. The fourth quarter, Dimmitt scored another touchdown in the fourth quarter, with Spearman coming in with 10 points to give them the victory.

The Bobcats logged in 46 plays for 247 yards, 79 passing and 168 rushing; had four turnovers, two fumbles and two interceptions; and seven penalties for 84 yards.

The Lynx had 53 plays for 295 yards, 18 passing and 277 rushing; one turnover and one interception; and six penalties for 55 yards.

Top Dimmitt passer was QB Jack Lunsford with seven of 14 completions for 79 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

Leading Bobcats rushing was Tony Salazar with 19 attempts for 150 yards and two touchdowns.

Out front for receiving was Tradien Worsham with a reception for 31 yards and one touchdown; Diego Santellano, two receptions for 27 yards; and Vincente Soto, one reception for 11 yards.

Top defensive player was Isiah Sifuentez with four tackles, two assists and one interception, followed by Tony Salazar, two touchdowns; Diego Santellano, one tackle and one assist; and Adrik Bustos with one assist.

The Bobcats (1-5) will travel to play the Friona Chieftains (4-3) this Friday at 7 p.m.
