The Dimmitt Bobcats lost to the Olton Mustangs last Friday 46-16.

Olton got things started in the first quarter with a 12-yard run and extra point to put them ahead 7-0. They followed up with another 37-yard run and extra point to widen their lead to 14-0.

Dimmitt put points on the scoreboard when Daunte Perez hit his mark and Sabian Martinez scored on the 53-yard pass and also gained the 2point conversion to put the score at 14-8.

The second quarter saw Olton score on a 29-yard run, to push their lead to 20-8.

Bobcats Gabriel Reyes came in with a touchdown on am 8-yard pass from Daunte Perez and a 2-point conversion, putting the score at 20-16 at halftime.

Olton came out charging the third quarter and added four touchdown and two extra points, giving them the win 4616.

The Bobcats gained a total of 128 yards to Olton’s 406 yards, with 129 passing yards. Dimmitt had three fumbles and three interceptions thrown, and six penalties for 40 yards.

Daunte Perez led in passing with seven completions of 15 attempts and 87 yards; Sabian Martinez had six completions of 13 attempts for 42 yards.

Sabian Martinez led in receiving with three receptions for 57 yards and one touchdown; Xayvion Gonzalez collected one reception for 27 yards; Will VanZee, three receptions for 21 yards; and Gabriel Reyes, two receptions for 12 yards.

Gabriel Reyes led rushing with five attempts for 11 yards; and Vincente Soto, one rush for 10 yards.

Leading in tackles was Vincente Soto with six tackles and one assist; Will VanZee with six tackles; Sabian Martinez, three tackles; Gabriel Reyes, two tackles and three assists; M. Rios with two tackles; Randy Gomez, two tackles, Daunte Perez, one tackle; Effren Torres, one tackles and one assist; Tad Snitker, one tackle/TFL; and Adrik Bustos, one tackle.

Vincente Soto had two interceptions, and two kickoff returns for an average of 20 yards; Sabian Martinez had one return for 35 yards; and Gabriel Reyes, four returns for 1 yard.
