The Dimmitt Bobcats lost their bout against the Hereford Whitefaces, 59-31.
The Bobcats took a onepoint lead in the first quarter, 9-8, but lost ground in the second quarter as the Whitefaces offense kicked into gear and gained a 25-15 lead, closing the first half with Dimmitt trailing.
Hereford continued to pound the boards in the third quarter, while their defense held Bobcats shooters to five points, putting the Whitefaces ahead 44-20.
The Bobcats battled in the fourth quarter but were unable to close the Hereford lead and took a loss 59-31.
Bobcats top shots were CJ Wiley with 10 points, three offensive rebounds, five defensive rebounds, two assists, two blocks and four fouls; Acqtavian Baty with seven points, one offensive rebound, two defensive rebounds, and two fouls; Ivan Moreno with five points, three defensive rebounds and four fouls; Julius Carpio with four points, one assist, one steal and two fouls; Kobe Carpio with two points, three defensive rebounds, two steals and three fouls; Jordan Garcia with two points; and Daunte Perez with one point, one offensive rebound, one assist, one steal and one foul.
