Bobcats lose to Mustangs, 15-1

The Dimmitt Bobcats suffered a loss to the Denver City Mustangs, 15-1, on Saturday.

The Mustangs took the lead with three runs in the first inning and gained another 12 runs in the third.

The Bobcats scored on a Ga’ Quorie Chathan double on a line drive to right field, with Mario Lopez coming in with a run in the fourth inning.

Bobcats Jaden Rodriguez hurled for 2.1 innings, 36 strikes in 71 pitches, surrendering 10 runs on nine hits and three walks. Edwin Macias pitched 25 strikes of 46 pitches in 1.2 innings with two strikeouts, surrendering five runs in two hits and two walks.
