The Bobcats placed runnersup at the Bobcat Holiday Invitational Basketball Tourney this past weekend, after losing the championship game to the Borger Bulldogs, 74-47.

The third-place team was Abernathy and consolation went to Childress.

Dimmitt came in with 17/56 (30%) field goals and 3/11 (27%) 3-point shots; free throws, 10/16 (63%); 36 rebounds, two steals and one block.

Top shot for the Bobcats was CJ Willey with 22 points, two offensive rebounds, seven defensive rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and three fouls.

Contributing shooters were Daunte Perez with eight points, five offensive rebounds, three defensive rebounds, one assist, one steal and two fouls; Ivan Moreno, eight points, five defensive rebounds, two assist and five fouls; Raul Cadena, seven points, three offensive and defensive rebounds, and one foul; and Luke Settle, two points, one offensive and defensive rebound, and one foul.

Jordan Garcia had one offensive and defensive rebound; and Emiliano Peralta, one offensive rebound.

Dimmit v Farwell

The Dimmitt Bobcats scored a win over the Farwell Steers, 51-44.

The Bobcats came in with 22/44 (40%) fields goals with 5/17 (29%) 3-pointers, 2/6 (33%) free throws, 41 rebounds, 15 assists, 11 steals and seven blocks.

Top shots for Dimmitt were Ivan Moreno with 15 points, six defensive rebounds, three assists, two steals and five fouls; CJ Willey, 14 points, two offensive rebounds, four defensive rebounds, three steals, three blocks and three fouls; and Raul Cadena, 10 points, six offensive rebounds, seven defensive rebounds and three fouls.

Contributing shooters were Daunte Perez with four points, three offensive rebounds, five defensive rebounds, seven assists and one block; Emiliano Peralta, four points, one offensive rebound, two defensive rebounds, four steals, one block and one foul; Gabriel Ontiveros, four points, two defensive rebounds four assists, one steal, two blocks and three fouls.

Anthony Rodrigues had one defensive rebound.
