The Dimmitt Bobcats defeated Tulia on Saturday, 19-0, as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.

The offensive kicked off in the first inning when Mario Lopez doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Ga’Quorie Chatham led the Bobcats to a victory by driving in four runs, going 3-for-5 at the plate, on a single in the third, a double in the fourth and a triple in the fifth. The Bobcats tallied seven runs in the fourth inning.

The Bobcats tallied seven runs in the fourth inning, with the onslaught coming from a walk by Lopez, a groundout by Oscar Rodriguez, by Medina, an error on a ball put in play by Jorge Pena and a double by Chatham.

Dimmitt racked up 12 hits from Chatham, Daegan Robertson, Edwin Macias and Medina with three players stealing 14 bases; Robertson led the way with five.

The winning pitcher was Mario Lopez, pitching 4.1 innings, with 36 strikes in 64, with seven strikeouts, surrendering one hit and three walks. Jose Medina was relief pitcher for 0.2 innings with six strikes in seven pitches and two strikeouts.
