The Dimmitt Bobcats suffered two losses to the Friona Chieftains and the Dalhart Wolves this past week.

The Bobcats fell to the Chieftains, 12-1 . Friona took a one-run lead in the first inning and added another four in the second inning while holding the Dimmitt squad to no hits.

Dimmitt scored in the third inning, but Friona continued to bring in runs through the fourth inning, putting them up 12-1 and giving them the win.

Bobcats pitcher Trey Aguero took the loss, with 58 pitches and 33 strikes, three strikeouts, two walks, allowing four hits and six runs and one homerun. Edgar Mario Lopez was on the mound for three innings, 57 pitches, 37 strikes, three strikeouts, one walk, and allowed seven hits and six runs.

Batting stats saw Javion Casas with three at bats and two strikeouts; Edgar Lopez, one at bat and two walks; Trey Aguero, two at bats, one hit, one run and one walk; Jose Medina, three at bats and one hit; Juan Anima, three at bats and three strikeouts; Jorge Pena, one at bat and one walk; Oscar Rodriguez, one walk; Edwin Macias, one at bat and one strike out; and Xayvion Gonzalez, one at bat, one walk and one strikeout.

Bobcats v Dalhart

The Bobcats lost their game with the Dalhart Wolves 16-6. The Wolves took the lead in the second inning with four runs and another six in the third. Dimmitt hitters came in with three runs in the third, leaving trailing by seven runs. The Wolves came in with another run in the fourth and two more in the fifth, with Dimmitt scoring two in the fifth, putting Dalhart up by 13-5. The Wolves brought three more runners in during the seventh inning, with Dimmitt scoring a single run.

Losing pitcher was Jose Medina who was on the mound for 2.2 innings for 81 pitches and 45 strikes, four strikeouts, three walks, and allowing seven hits and 10 runs. Xayvion Gonzales threw for 16 pitches, six strikes and one strikeout in 0.1 innings, allowed two walks, one hit and one run. Ryan Nino threw for four innings, 68 pitches, 35 strikes and three strikeouts, allowing six hits, five runs and three walks.

The Bobcats have four district games remaining against Bushland, River Road, Tulia and Friona as they wrap up the regular season on April 30.
