Bobcats suffer defeat by Spearman, 47-0

The Dimmitt Bobcats had their hands full with the Spearman Lynx on Friday night, taking a loss 47-0 in conference play, with the offense held at bay by the Lynx offense.

The Bobcats came in with 36 plays for 89 yards, 20 passing yards, 69 rushing yards, five first downs, two fumbles, two interceptions and two penalties for 10 yards.

Top passer for Dimmitt was Sabian Martinez with five completions of 12 attempts for 20 yards and two interceptions.

Leading in rushing was Sabian Martinez with 16 attempts for 72 yards; and Gabriel Reyes, four attempts for 7 yards.

Top receiver for the Bobcats was Daunte Perez with two receptions for 15 yards.

Top tacklers for the Bobcats were Sabian Martinez with four; Will Van Zee, four tackles and one assist; Daunte Perez, three tackles; Gabriel Reyes, two tackles; Alex Aguilar, two tackles and one assist, Tad Snitker, two tackles; Ramone Gomez, two tackles, and Damian Arriaga, one assist.

The Bobcats will travel to face the Friona Chieftains this coming Friday night. The Dimmitt squad is currently 0-6 for the season.
