Bobcats top Wildcats, 5-4

The Dimmitt Bobcats walked away with a win over the River Road Wildcats, 5-4.

Neither team scored in the first two innings, but River Road came with a run in the third and fourth to take the lead, 2-0.

Dimmitt hitters bounced back in the fifth inning with two runs and scored three more in the sixth inning, while the Wildcats gained a single run, putting the Bobcats up 5-3.

River Road hit for another run in the seventh inning, but short of taking the victory away from the Bobcats.

Bobcats pitcher Julius Carpio came in with 110 pitches in 6.2 innings, allowed six hits, four runs and two walks, with 14 strikeouts. Kobe Carpio pitches five pitches in the remainder of the game with one strikeout.
