Dimmitt and Hart powerlifting teams competed at the Levelland Invitational Powerlifting Meet this past weekend.

The girls competition had 104 lifters from 14 schools, and the boys competition had 131 lifters from 15 schools.

Top Bobbies lifters in their weight divisions included Sandra Vasquez (148) who earned a first place; Na Khiyah Porras (220), first place; and Allysun Jones (259+), first place. Karla Perez (132) came in with a second place; Alexia Tarango (165), third place; and Jesimae Gamez (259), third place.

Regional rankings for the top Dimmitt lifters: Porras, first (220); Jones, second (259+); Sandra Vasquez, fourth (148); Kimberly Solis, sixth (198); and Nissa Sanchez, eighth (123) and fourth (132).

The Dimmitt Bobbies team placed second out of the 14 competing teams.

Top lifters from Hart were Briana Nally (132), fourth place; and Toree Jo Evans (148), fifth place. Hart placed 10th as a team.

In the boys’ powerlifting divisions, the top Bobcat lifters in the top five were Santiago Chavez (114), fifth place; Gabriel Reyes (148), third; Jordan Casas (181), third; and Ga Quorie Chatham (242), second.

The Bobcats team placed eighth overall. The Longhorns team placed 13th.
