The Dimmitt Middle School 7th grade football team won Thursday's matchup against Sunray with a score of 14-6.
The team was led by running back Victor Lozano who had a great game with 132 rushing yards, two touchdowns and one twopoint conversion. On the defensive side of the ball, Lozano also led the team in tackles with 10, followed by Hugo Rodriguez with nine, and Joshue Gonzalez with four.
The DMS 8th grade team won Thursday's matchup against Sunray with a score of 30-0.
The offense was led by QB Kaden Carpio who rushed for 101 yards, 60 yards passing, two touchdowns, one passing touchdown, and two two-point conversions.
Aden Oviedo rushed for 52 yards with one touchdown and one two-point conversion; Gustavo Lopez rushed for 85 yards with one touchdown; and Josiah Torres had 60 receiving yards with one touchdown.
The leading tacklers on the defensive side of the ball were Jaime Arzate with seven tackles; Kaden Carpio with four; Gustavo Lopez with four; Neyo Gauna and Axel Costantino, each with with three; and Marco Silva with one interception.
The Bobcats will take on the Brownfield Cubs in Brownfield on Thursday, Sept. 15.
