Naz, Hart track competes at Sudan Relays

Nazareth and Hart High School track and field teams competed in the Sudan Son Qualls Relays at Sudan High School on March 31.

Staying in the top three placings for Nazareth varsity girls was Caroline Myrick, with a first in the 200-meter dash, second in the 100-meter dash, and a third in the long jump; Chole Birkenfeld placed second in the 400-meter dash; and Irish Schilderink placed third in shot put.

Hart varsity girls in the top three of their events were Toree Jo Evans with a third in the 100-meter dash; Paizlie Reyna Mata, a second in the 200-meter dash; and Mia Minjarez, second in the 800-meter run. The Hart girls 4x200 relay team placed second, with team members Elycia Gonzales, Mia Minjarez, Paislie Reyna Mata and Toree Jo Evans.

Hart varsity boy in the top three was Alton Washington with a third in the 400-meter dash.
