South Plains Fair runs through weekend

The 2022 Panhandle-South Plains is under way and run through Oct. 1.

Gate hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to midnight. Carnival hours begin at 3 p.m. on weekdays and at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Special attractions include Pirates of the Colombian Caribbean, Bruno’s Tigers, The Circus Man, Big Bee Transforming Robot Car and others. All can be seen at their show times this weekend.

Livestock show competitors have already been busy this week. Still left to be judged are heifers, swine, junior steers, lambs and goats.

The general array of fair foods will be available and exhibits of competitions in the women’s and youth departments, ag science, ag mechanics and creative arts.
