Swiftettes beat Lady Wolverines, 62-27

The Nazareth Swiftettes chalked up another win after defeating Springlake Earth, 62-27.

Nazareth took a single point lead in the first quarter, 9-8, and their defense and offense went into action in the second quarter, sinking 22 points while holding Springlake shooters to zero, closing the first half out, 22-9.

The Swiftettes stayed consistent through the third and fourth quarters outplaying Springlake and taking the victory.

The Swiftettes shot for 26 of 47 field goals with two of eight three pointers, eight of 12 free throws, collected 26 rebounds, 24 assists, 18 steals and 14 fouls.

Top shots were Brooklyn Birkenfeld with 15 points, one offensive rebound, four defensive rebounds, one assist, one steal and two fouls; Iris Schilderink with 15 points, one offensive and defensive rebound, two assists, one steal and one foul; and Tatum Peterson, 10 points, one offensive rebound, six defensive rebounds, three assists, two steals and one foul.

Contributing shooters were Brooklyn Dyer, six points, two defensive rebounds, two assists, three steals and two fouls; Harley Gerber, five points, two defensive rebounds, four assists, two steals and three fouls; Riley Ramaekers, five points’ Presley Wheeler, three points, two offensive rebounds, nine assists, two steals and one foul; Chloe Birkenfeld, three points, two defensive rebounds, three assists and one steal. Caroline Myrick came in with one offensive rebound, three defensive rebounds and one steal.
