The Nazareth Swiftettes clenched the quarterfinal win against the Springlake Earth Lady Wolverines on Tuesday night, 63-26, sending them to the Regional tourney semi-finals on Friday in Levelland at South Plains College Texan Dome.

The Swiftettes advanced to the Regional quarterfinals after eating the Claude Lady Mustangs 56-42 in the Area playoffs.

The Swiftettes were solid in their offense in the quarterfinals, while the defense held the Springlake team to low scoring in all quarters of the game.

Nazareth shot for 23/45 (51%) field goals, 5/10 (50%) 3-pointers, 12-16 (75%) free throws, collected 26 rebounds, nine assists, 16 steals and six blocks.

Top shots for the Swiftettes were Presley Wheeler with 13 points, one offensive rebound, three defensive rebounds, three assists and two steals; Tatum Peterson, 12 points, three offensive rebounds one defensive rebound, two assists, one steal and two blocks; Harley Gerber, 12 points, two defensive rebounds, one assist, three steals and two fouls; and Makenzy Corrales, 10 points, four defensive rebounds, one assist, four steals, one block and two fouls.

Swiftettes take Area title The Nazareth Swiftettes came out with the victory over the Claude Lady Mustangs at the Area playoffs on Friday, 56-42.

The Swiftettes took an early lead in the game 16-8 and maintained it throughout the game, outscoring the Lady Mustangs in all four quarters.

The Swiftettes shot for 15/35 (43%) field goals with 7/14 (50%) 3-pointers, and 19/24 (79%) free throws. They collected 22 rebounds, 12 assists, four steals and one block.

Top shooter for game was Presley Wheeler with 19 points, one offensive rebound, three defensive rebounds, one steal and one foul.
