The Nazareth Swiftettes clenched the Area title last Thursday, beating the Follett Lady Panthers, 76-12.

The Swiftettes took command in the first quarter, gaining a lead of 19-5 and hit another 17 points in the second quarter, giving them a big lead as the first half came to an end, 36-8.

The Nazareth offensive upped their scoring in the second half and the defense held Follett to four-points in the second half, giving the Swiftettes a huge Area win, 76-12, and advancing them in the playoffs.

Nazarethhit29of472-point shots, two of 21 3-pointers, 12 of 18 freethrows, had 27 assists, 22 offensive rebounds, 15 defensive rebounds, two blocks, 25 deflections, 28 steals and 8 fouls.

Swiftettes’ double-digit shooters were Brooklyn Birkenfeld, 26 points, four offensive rebound, six defensive rebounds, one foul; Tatum Peterson, 14 points, four assists, five offensive rebounds, one defensive rebound, one deflection, two steals;and Riley Ramaekers, 11 points, one assist, one defensive rebound, one foul, one deflection and five steals.

Contributing shooters were Harley Gerber, nine points, five assists, one defensive rebound, one foul, one block, six deflections; Emerson Moore, eight points, one assist, three offensive rebounds, one defensive rebound, one foul, four steals; Maddie Brockman, four points, eight assists, one offensive rebound, two deflections, five steals; Clementine Myrick, two points, one assists, one defensive rebounds, two fouls, three deflections and one steal;and Lexi Ramaekers, two points, one offensive rebound and two steals.

Brooklyn Dyer had two assists, two offensive rebounds, three deflections and three steals; Chloe Birkenfeld, four assists, four offensive, one defensive rebound, four defl ections; and Katty Gerber one assist one defensive rebound one two steals.
