The Nazareth Swiftettes continued advancing in the playoffs, defeating the Silverton Lady Owls in the Regional quarterfinals, 55-38.

The Swiftettes gained a six-point edge in the first quarter, and battled to hang onto the lead, with the Lady Owls putting up 13 points in the second quarter to Naz’s 10 points, closing the first half out leading 23- 20.

Nazareth outscored Silverton in both the third and fourth quarters and claimed the quarterfinals title, 55-38.

Nazareth hit eight of 19 2-pointers, seven of 26 3-pointers, 18 of 26 free throws, collected 14 assists, 11 offensive rebounds, 21 defensive rebounds, five blocks, 25 deflections, nine steals, with 14 turnovers and 15 fouls.

Nazareth double digit shooters were Harley Gerber, 16 points, two assists, one offensive rebound, five deflections, one steal and one foul; and Brooklyn Birkenfeld, 12 points, one assist, two offensive rebounds, four defensive rebounds, one deflection one steal and three fouls.

Contributing shooters were Clementine Myrick, eight points, three assists, two offensive rebounds, one deflection, four steals and one foul; Tatum Peterson, six points, one assist, six defensive rebounds, four blocks, five deflections, two steals and two fouls; Brooklyn Dyer, six points, one defensive rebound, three deflections and one foul; Riley Ramaekers, five points, one assist, two deflections and two fouls; and Maddie Brockman, two points, two assists, three offensive rebounds and three deflections.

Chloe Birkenfeld had two assists, one defensive rebound, one deflection, one steal and three fouls; and Emerson Moore, two assists, two offensive rebounds, five defensive rebounds, one block, four deflections and two fouls.

The Swiftettes (18-9, 9-0) will play in the Regional Semifinals on Friday at 1 p.m. at the South Plains College Texan Dome.
