Swiftettes defeat Lady Eagles

The Nazareth Swiftettes were victorious over the Lubbock Christian Lady Eagles, 46-38.

The Swiftettes took the lead in the first quarter, 15-9, and continued to advance in the second quarter to close the first half out ahead, 25-15.

The Lady Eagle’s offense made a push in the third quarter, but were unable to close the Naz lead, 34-29.

The Swiftettes won the game in the fourth quarter, 46- 38

Ṡwiftettes shot 32% from the field with 33% on threepoint attempts; 60% on free throws; collected 26 rebounds, had 11 assists, four blocks and 11 steals.

Nazareth top shots were Merry Gerber with 18 points, three offensive and defensive rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and three fouls; and Makenzy Corrales with 11 points, three offensive rebounds, five defensive rebounds, two steals and three fouls.

Contributing players were Emma Kleman with five points, two offensive rebounds, one defensive rebound, four assists, one steal and one foul; Addie Dyer with five points, one assist, one steal and two fouls; Tatum Peterson with four points, three offensive rebounds two defensive rebounds, three assists, six steals and one block; and Presley Wheeler with three points.

Contributing players include Harley Gerber with two defensive rebounds and one foul; and Jaden Pigg with one offensive and defensive rebound, one block and one foul.
