Swiftettes dominate Lady Eagles, 100-8

The Nazareth Swiftettes dealt a crushing defeat to the Channing Lady Tigers on Tuesday, 100-8.

The Swiftettes offense took charge of the court with big lead in the first quarter, 27-0. The second quarter was equally as tough on the Channing squad, who scored a mere two points, while Nazareth racked up another 23 points, to close the first half out leading 50-2.

The Swiftettes continued to hit the net as the Lady Tigers struggled both offensively and defensively to halt the rout, but Nazareth added another 26 points to their lead, 76-6.

The fourth quarter ended with a huge win over Channing, 100-8.

The Swiftettes hit 41 of 79 (52%) from the field; 16 of 34 (47%) 3-point shots; two of two free throws; collected 23 steals, 26 rebounds and 25 assists.

Top shots for Nazareth were Merry Gerber with 22 points, two assists, four steals, one offensive rebound three defensive rebounds and two fouls; Makenzy Corrales with 16 points, six assists, five steals, and four offensive rebounds; Presley Wheeler with 16 points, five assists, two steals and two offensive rebounds; Emma Kleman with 12 points, one assist, five steals, four offensive rebounds and two defensive rebounds; and Harley Gerber with 11 points, three assists and one steal.

Contributing shooters were Addie Dyer with seven points, two steals, two offensive rebounds and one foul; Jaden Pigg with six points, one assist, one steal, and two offensive rebounds; Kyanne Dunn with five points, two offensive rebounds one defensive rebound and one foul; Maggie Nelson with five points, two assists and one steal; and Iris Schilderink with one assist, four steals and two offensive rebounds.
