Swiftettes edge out Lady Leopards

The Nazareth Swiftettes beat the New Home Lady Leopards in a close game, 51-45

Ṅew Home too the lead in the first quarter 17-12, but the Swiftettes narrowed the gap in the second quarter and closed the first half trailing at half time 23-21.

The Swiftettes held onto the lead in the third quarter and widened the gap in the fourth quarter, giving them the victory, 51-45.

The Swiftettes shot 41 percent from the field; 73 percent on free throws; collected 23 rebounds; had 16 assists, four steals and one block.

Top shots for the Swiftettes were Tatum Peterson with 15 points, three offensive rebounds, two defensive rebounds, one block and one foul; and Makenzy Corrales with 11 points three offensive rebounds, three defensive rebounds, one steal and four fouls.

Contributing players were Addie Dyer with seven points, two defensive rebounds, four assists, and two fouls; Harley Gerber with seven points, one assist and two fouls; Merry Gerber with five points, one offensive rebound, two defensive rebounds, four assists, one steal and four fouls; Emma Kleman with three points, one offensive rebound, four defensive rebounds, six assists and one foul; Presley Wheeler with one defensive rebound, one assist and one steal; and Iris Schilderink with one defensive rebound and one foul.
