The Nazareth Swiftettes advanced to the championship round on Saturday at the Nazareth Basketball Tourney this past weekend to play the Canadian Lady Wildcats after beating Bushland, Henrietta and Panhandle in earlier games. Though they lost in the final round, they had some solid, well-played games and great competition.

Swiftettes v Canadian Championship Game

The Swiftettes met with a tough Canadian team, losing 45-25.

Nazareth hit 8/35 field goals (23%) with 2/11 (18%) on 3- pointers, collected 20 rebounds, four assists, five steals and one block.

Top shooters for Nazareth were Harley Gerber with seven points, one assist, one steal and two fouls; Iris Schilderink, six points, two offensive rebounds, three defensive rebounds and four fouls; Tatum Peterson, three points, three defensive rebounds, one assist, one steal and two fouls; Brooklyn Dyer, three points and one offensive rebound; Makenzy Corrales, two points, one defensive rebound, one assist, two steals and three fouls; and Presley Wheeler, two points and one offensive rebound.

Caroline Myrick came in with two offensive rebounds, one defensive rebound, one block and one foul; and Bliss Betzen with one defensive rebound, one steal and one foul.

The Swiftettes came out on top against the Bushland Lady Falcons, 52-44/

Nazareth shot for 18/53 (34%) field goals and 10/29 (34%) 3-point shots, 7/10 (70%) free throws, had 23 rebounds, 13 assists, 11 steals and 13 fouls.

Top shooters were Makenzy Corrales with 24 points, two offensive rebounds, one defensive rebound, one steal and one foul; and Addie Dyer with 13 points, one offensive rebound, one assist, one steal and three fouls.

Contributing shooters were Tatum Peterson with five points, two offensive rebounds, six defensive rebounds, three assists, two steals and two fouls; Harley Gerber, five points, two offensive and defensive rebounds, two assists, two steals and one foul; Iris Schilderink, four points, one offensive rebound, two defensive rebounds four assists, two steals and three fouls; and Caroline Myrick, two points, one offensive and defensive rebound, three assists, one steal and two fouls.

The Swiftettes beat the Henrietta Lady Bearcats, 45-9.

38 rebounds, 15 steals and 12 fouls.

Top shooters were Addie Dyer with 16 points, one defensive rebounds, three assists, one steal and one foul; Presley Wheeler, 12 points, one offensive rebound four defensive rebounds, two assists, four steals and three fouls; and Tatum Peterson, 11 points, four offensive rebounds, one defensive rebound, three assists, one steal and two blocks.

The Swiftettes beat the Panhandle Lady Panthers, 45-36.
