The Nazareth Swifts brough home the Bi-District title,after defeating the Adrian Matadors 86-24 in the first round of the playoffs at Amarillo Caprock High School.

The Nazareth offense dominated throughout the game, taking a halftime lead of 45-11, and putting another 41 points on the scoreboard, while holding Adrian to a 13-point gain by the time the final buzzer sounded.

The Swifts hit 28 of 49 2-pointers, seven of 16 3-pointers, nine of 15 free throws, collected 10 offensive rebounds, 27 defensive rebounds, 15 fouls and 10 turnovers.

Swifts double-digit shooters were Kayle Rogers, 18 points, four defensive rebounds and two fouls; Creed Hochstein, 17 points, one offensive rebound, four defensive rebounds and one foul; Caysen High, 16 points, two defensive rebounds and two fouls; and Bryson Brockman, 13 points, three offensive rebounds, eight defensive rebounds and two fouls.

Contributing shooters were Reid Backus, seven points, two offensive rebounds and five defensive rebounds; Max Snead, six points, two offensive and defensive rebounds and three fouls; JV#5, five points and one foul; Slaton Harkins, three points, two offensive rebounds and one defensive rebound; and Lincoln , one point.

Nazareth (15-10, 9-0) advanced to take on either Follett or Groom in the Area round of the playoffs.
