Swifts defeat Longhorns

The Nazareth Swifts came in with a big win over the Hart Longhorns, 57-8.

The Swifts had 17 first downs, 29 rushes for 265 yards, six receptions of 12 passing attempts for 110 yards, three fumbles, two penalties for 15 yards, 20 tackles and three sacks.

The Longhorns had five receptions of 10 attempts for 34 yards and five fumbles.

Rushing leaders for Nazareth were Zane Schulte with 19 rushes for 166 yards, two touchdowns; Alejandro Guerrero, seven rushes for 97 yards, four touchdowns; and Jesse Acker, two rushes for 2 yards, one touchdown.

Rushing leaders for Hart were Caleb Diaz with one rush for 9 yards; and Yael Soltero, eight rushes for three yards.

Passing leaders for Nazareth were Will Young, with five completions of 11 attempts for 93 yards and one touchdown; and Zane Schulte with one completion of one attempt for 17 yards.

Passing leaders for Hart were Noah Marin with four completions of nine attempts for 31 yards; and Yael Soltero, one completion for one attempt for 3 yards.

Top receivers for Nazareth were Alejandro Guerrero with three receptions for 67 yards; Caysen High, one reception for 27 yards and one touchdown; and Kayle Rogers, two receptions for 16 yards.

Top receivers for Hart were Juan Hernandez, one reception for 19 yards; Aaron Guevara, two receptions for 14 yards; and Noah Marin, one reception for three yards.

The kickoff return leader for the Longhorns was Caleb Diaz with four returns for 80 yards and one touchdown.
