Swifts defeat Longhorns

The Nazareth Swifts claimed a victory over the Hart Longhorns, 70-26.

Nazareth took the lead in the first quarter 10-3 and widened the lead in the second quarter to close the first half, 24-10. Nazareth shot for big gains in the third and fourth quarters and claimed an easy win.

The Swifts shot for 22 of 38 2-pointers, six of 16 3-pointers,eight of 16 free throws, collected six offensive rebounds, 16 defensive rebounds, three blocks, had 10 turnovers and nine fouls.

Top Nazareth shooters were Kayle Rogers, 17 points, two offensive rebounds, four defensive rebounds, and one foul; and Creed Hockstein, 12 points, one defensive rebound and three fouls.

Max Snead, nine points, five defensive rebounds and one block; Reid Backus had nine points, one defensive rebounds, one block and two fouls; Bryson Brockman, eight points, two offensive rebounds and four defensive rebounds; Zane Schulte, eight points ; Cayson High, four points and one offensive rebound; and Slayton Harkins, three points, one offensive and defensive rebound, and one block.
