Swifts defeat Wolverines

The Nazareth Swifts claimed a win over the Springlake Wolverines, 52-44.

The Swifts took the lead in the first quarter and added another three points to widen the lead in the second, closing the first half out ahead 26-18.

Both teams scored evenly in the third and fourth quarters, giving Nazareth the victory.

Nazareth sank 14 of 24 2-pointers, three of nine 3-pointers, 15 of 19 free throws, collected, five offensive rebounds, 16 defensive rebounds, one block, 19 fouls and 24 turnovers.

Top shooters for the Swifts were Caysen High, 17 points, three offensive rebounds, one defensive rebound and two fouls; and Bryson Brockman, 10 points, offensive rebounds, three defensive rebounds, one defensive rebound and two fouls; Contributing shooters included Slayton Harkins, seven points, one defensive rebound and four fouls; Creed Hochstein, seven points, one defensive rebound and three fouls; Max Snead, four points, Kayle Rogers, four points and four fouls; Reid Backus, four defensive rebounds, one block and two fouls; and Zane Schulte, three points, two defensive rebounds and two fouls.
