The Nazareth Swifts fall to the Wall Hawks (3A) on Friday, 53-33. Both teams shot for seven

points in the first quarter, and battled in the second quarter, with the Hawks up by 23-17 at halftime.

Nazareth offense struggled in the third quarter, with Hawks widening their lead to 42-24.

The fourth quarter sealed the win for Wall, with the Swifts falling 53-33.

The Swifts shot 36 percent from the filed (53% - 2-point shots, 18% - 3-point shots); and 67 percent on free throws. They had eight assists, one offensive rebound, eight defensive rebounds, and 11 steals.

Top shots for Nazareth were Kaden Cleavinger with 11 points, one assist, two defensive rebounds, one steal and four fouls; Carson Heiman with six points, one assist, and one foul; Aidan Moore with five points, one assist, three defensive rebounds, and two fouls; Luke Betzen with four points, two assists, one offensive rebound, three steals and one foul; Trent Gerber with four points, four steals and two fouls; and Derek Dyer with three points, one assists, one defensive rebound and one foul.

Contributing players were Jayden High with two assists, one offensive rebound, one steal and three fouls; Chance Hochstein with one steal; and Luke Schulte with one steal.

Barring any unexpected changes in the schedule, the Swifts would play Shallowater on Dec. 12; Happy on Dec. 15; and Vega on Dec. 18.
