The Nazareth Swifts fell to the Canyon Eagles (4A), 68- 27, in their second game of the season.

The Swifts came in with 10 points in the first quarter, trailing the Eagles by two points. Canyon stepped up their offense and defense in the second quarter and closed out the first half with a lead over the Swifts, 29-17.

The third quarter, Canyon continued outshooting the Naz team and widened the lead to 51- 24.

The fourth quarter sealed the win for the Eagles over the Swifts, 68-27.

Top shot was Trent Gerber with 11 points, three defensive rebounds and two fouls.

Contributing shooters were Kayle Rogers, seven points, two defensive rebounds and one foul; Luke Schulte, four points one assist, two offensive rebounds and four defensive rebounds; Carson Heiman, three points, one assist, two offensive rebounds and three fouls; and Tanner Birkenfeld, two points, one assist and one defensive rebound.

Sterl Welps came in with two assists, two defensive rebounds and one foul and Creed Hochstein has one assist and one foul.
