The Nazareth Swiftettes took on the 3A Canadian Lady Cats on Saturday, narrowly losing 53-50.

The Swiftettes took the lead in the first quarter, 14-6, but trailed going into halftime 28-23.

Nazareth outscored the Lady Cats in the third quarter, to tie the game up heading in the final period, 40-40.

Canadian came through in the fourth quarter by three points to take the victory.

The Swiftettes hit 17 of 36 shots, nine of 23 three-point shots, and seven of 11 free throws, collected 15 rebounds, seven steals and two blocks, and 18 turnovers.

Top shooters for the Swiftettes were Harley Gerber with 21 points, three defensive rebounds, two assists, two steals and two fouls; Makenzy Corrales with 12 points, two defensive rebounds, five assists, two steals and one foul; Addie Dyer with six points, three defensive rebounds, one assist and four fouls; Presley Wheeler with five points, four defensive rebounds, two assists, one steal and one foul; Tatum Peterson with four points, one offensive rebound, one assist, one steal, one block and two fouls; Iris Schilderink with two points, two defensive rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and four fouls; and Bliss Betzen with one assist and one foul.
