Swifts take win against Clarendon

Both teams were strong on the pitcher’s mound Saturday, but the Nazareth Swifts defeated Clarendon 3-2. Nazareth pitchers allowed just four hits to Clarendon.

Clarendon got on the board in the first inning. An error scored one run for Clarendon.

Carson Heiman earned the victory on the hill for Nazareth.

Heiman lasted 6.1 innings, throwing 110 pitches, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out two and walking four. Sterl Welps threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen, with seven pitches and one strikeout.
