The Nazareth Swifts took a handy win over the Smyer Bobcats, 59-38.

The Swifts jumped out ahead by 16 points in the first quarter, 20-4, but Smyer came back and scored evenly with Nazareth in the second quarter, sending the teams to the locker room at half-time with the leading 36-20.

Nazareth held their ground in the third quarter, pushing three points onto their lead, 50-31, and won the game in the fourth quarter 59-39.

The Swifts hit for 47 percent from the field, 64 percent on free throws; had 11 assists, nine offensive rebounds, 12 defensive rebounds; and nine steals.

Top shots for the Swifts were Kaden Cleavinger with 14 points, three assists, three offensive and defensive rebounds, one steal and three fouls; Luke Betzen with 13 points, two assists, two offensive rebounds, one defensive rebound, two steals and three fouls; and Aidan Moore with 10 points, two assists, one offensive rebound, one defensive rebound, three steals and three fouls.

Contributing players were Carson Heiman with nine points, two defensive rebounds, one steal and one foul; Trent Gerber with six points, two defensive rebounds and one steal; Derek Dyer with four points, four assists, one offensive rebound, two defensive rebounds and one foul; Jayden High with three points, two offensive rebounds, one steal and four fouls; and Luke Schulte with one defensive rebound and two fouls.
