WTAMU horse judging team wins Spring Collegiate Sweepstakes

West Texas A&M University’s horse judging team is continuing its winning ways, defeating one of the nation’s top teams on its home turf. The WT squad was named champion of the Spring Collegiate Sweepstakes Horse Judging Contest in College Station, also placing first in halter, second in team performance and second in reasons.

Wooten honored with OSU scholarship

Audrey Wooten, a graduate of Dimmitt High School, was honored by the Oklahoma State University Ferguson College of Agriculture with academic scholarship support for the 2024-2025 academic year. Wooten is majoring in Agribusiness at OSU.

Naz boys golf qualifies for Regionals

The Nazareth golf teams competed at the District 1A tournament held in Dimmitt. The girls placed fourth as a team; the boys placed second, qualifying for the Regional meet in Lubbock.

Bobcats defeat Wildcats, 23-1

The Dimmitt Bobcats had a strong contact performance with a big away win over the River Road Wildcats, 23-1 last Thursday.The team came in with 15 hits and accumulated 10 walks. Bobcats Tony Salazar was the winning pitcher with 5.0 innings, with 71 pitches, 49 strikes and seven strike outs, giving up four hits, one run and one walk.
