Last week Dimmitt’s Bobcats and Nazareth’s Swifts both played in the first round of the state football playoffs. In Bi-District action Dimmitt fell to Idalou, 49-7 while Nazareth topped Claude in six-man action, 74-65. Nazareth will take on Rankin in Hermleigh at 6 p.m. Friday.

Nazareth takes district title, hammers Happy

The Nazareth Swifts put an exclamation point on their 2025 regular season beating rival Happy, 52-6 The win clinched the district title for Nazareth who will face Claude Friday in Lockney at 7 p.m.Leading Nazareth were Cameron Pohlmeier who had 184 yards rushing with four touchdowns.

The Nazareth Swiftette cross country team earned a trip to the UIL State Cross Country Championships Friday, Oct. 31 after qualifying at the Regional Cross Country Championships. The team placed third overall. Individual results including 14th — Madison Brockman, 23rd — Bridget Osterkamp, 31st — Mallory Wilhelm, 42nd — Zeli Olivas, 52nd — Aubree Rowland and 59th — Jolee Pigg.
