Tulia is turning pink this week as the community gears up for Pink Friday, a nationwide movement encouraging shoppers to support small businesses before the big-box rush begins. This Friday, local shops and vendors across town are rolling out the welcome mat for our community.

Tulia 34th Annual Veterans Day Program

Tulia ISD honored veterans at the 34th Annual Veterans Day Program on November 11, 2025. Luke Moore and Elijah Lopez welcomed everyone to the program. The Pledge to the American and Texas Flag was led by Jose Verdugo followed by the National Anthem played by the Tulia High School Band.

Kress Elementary Veterans Day Program

Kress Elementary School hosted a Veterans Day program for the community to honor the Veterans on November 11th. Breakfast for the Veterans was at 8:00AM in the High School Library. The program was in the Auditorium at 9:00AM.

Swisher County Museum Silent Auction planned for December 6th

Swisher County Archives and Museum Association is making plans for the 2025 Christmas Silent Auction. The annual silent auction is held during the Christmas in Tulia event with the proceeds going to a non-profit organization in Tulia. Christmas in Tulia is scheduled for December 6, 2025.

Wow! Last week was very exciting. I had written earlier that I had been to Ava’s one act play competition, and that it had advanced to the state level. I went to Dallas on Thursday to pick up Jonna and Lillian so that we could go to the state competition in Kerrville.
