This past weekend was filled with a lot of activity. I really had a great time all weekend. I spent the time with my sister. We started off by attending the TRTA fall conference in Amarillo. The speakers were quite informative. Then, we left early Friday morning to go to Dallas.

SWISHER COUNTY FARM BUREAU CONVENTION

Swisher County Farm Bureau hosted their annual County Convention on Thursday, October 16th at the Senior Citizen’s Building in Tulia. Farm Bureau members in attendance were treated to a delicious chicken fried steak meal and door prizes.

Sometimes when I am at a loss as to what I should write an article about I google different dates. I was excited to find out that tomorrow October the 28th is National First Responders Day. Be honest how many of you knew that? I was a firefighter here in Tulia for 24 years and I did not know that.

The Tulia Lady Hornets had Teacher Recognition before their game against Idalou on Saturday. Each of the varsity players recognized a teacher or coach that had an impact on their life.
