Hegar distributes $1.2B in sale tax revenue

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar sent cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.2 billion in local sales tax allocations for November, 1.1 percent more than in November 2023.

WT Meat Judging dominates Cargill competition

West Texas A&M University’s Meat Judging team recently took home another championship, powered by several perfect individual and team scores.The team won the championship of the Cargill High Plains Meat Judging Contest on Oct. 27 in Friona, with a score of 4,212.

Robotics season underway for local teams

Nazareth Robotics teams, along with Dimmitt and Hart teams, competed at the FiTW& P Amarillo League Meet this past weekend.The meet had 29 teams participating from Nazareth, Dimmitt, Hart, Bushland, Sunray, Canadian, Vernon, Amarillo, Pampa and White Deer.
