Where there is no vision, the people perish.Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) I opened the bread box yesterday afternoon with great ambition to make myself a big soft succulent sandwich for lunch. Inside was a loaf of bread. Taking it out I gave it a gentle squeeze. To my dismay, it was firm, not soft.

WTAMU CJ job fair Set Oct. 29

Students and community members seeking jobs in criminal justice fields, and not just in law enforcement, can attend an upcoming career expo at West Texas A&M University.The Criminal Justice Career Fair will run from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 29 in the commons area in the Jack B.
CastroCountySheriff’s Office deputies, Castro County EMS, Dimmitt VFD and TxDOT were called to the scene of truck vs. tractor accident on the morning of Oct. 19. Vehicles involved included a John Deere 4640 farm tractor and a silver 2002 Dodge flatbed pickup truck. The accident occurred at the 300 block of FM 1055. No injuries were reported. DPS Trooper Kyle Grimsley investigated the accident.

Castro County 4-H Oliver Meador from Nazareth received the Gold Star Award for County at the Annual District 2 Gold Star Banquet. The Gold Star Award is the highest achievement award given by the Texas 4-H Youth Development Program and be awarded once in a member’s 4-H career.
