The Hart ISD school board attended the annual txEDCON conference this past weekend in San Antonio. The event is a joint event hosted by the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) and the Texas Association of School Boards for training to improve leadership and governance in Texas public schools. Attending were (front row) Agustin Perez, Mary Ann Carrasco, Marsela Marin, Julissa Chaves, Fabian Morales, (back row) Superintendent Juan Dominguez, and Erasmo Mata.

WTAMU Horse Judging team wins reserve championship

West Texas A&M University’s Horse Judging team was a close second at its kickoff competition of the fall season. The team ranked closely behind the champion Texas A&M University at the American Paint Horse Association HorseCollegiate World Championship, held Sept.

Naz FFA Tripp Ethridge is the first student this year to complete, pass and attain a certification with the OSHA general 30-hour certification. The OSHA course provides students with a basic safety and health knowledge to include OSHA policies, procedures, and standards. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are most hazardous. Each year several Naz students get their certifications.

Safety inspection change in January

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reminds Texans that changes to the state’s Vehicle Safety Inspection Program – which eliminate most vehicle safety inspections – begin on Jan. 1, 2025.These changes are due to House Bill 3297.
