Banned Books Week will be observed next week, Sept. 2228, according to the American Library Association (ALA). Theme for the event is “Freed Between the Lines,” an observance of the freedom we find in the pages of books and the need to defend that freedom from censorship.

Mullins honored with bridal shower

Baylee Mullins of Lubbock, bride elect of Kinder Harlow, was honored with a bridal shower on Aug. 3 in the beautiful home of Stacy Boozer in Dimmitt.The serving table displayed photos of the couple and featured a floral arrangement with MacKenzie-Childs serving pieces adorned with gold accents.
