Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.03 billion in local sales tax allocations for April, up 5.5 percent compared to April 2023.Total net payments this period were$646,954,637,compared to 2023 at $615,022,866, a 5.

Castro County resident Laura Hart, from Hart, Texas was recently invited to attend the BARD 45th Anniversary seminar and reception held at the National Arboretum in Washington D.C. on April 9 as a woman in agriculture representing the state of Texas.
