Arrington introduces estate tax reduction legislation

On Monday, Chairman Jodey Arrington introduced the Estate Tax Rate Reduction Act, which would cut the estate tax in half and provide tax relief to family-owned businesses.Currently, the estate tax – commonly known as the “Death Tax” – is the highest tax rate in the U.S. Tax Code at 40 percent.
The Dimmitt HS boys golf team competed at the District tourney placing fifth. Members of the team include Aaden Oviedo, Oscar Ramirez, Jack Lundsford, Lucan Navarro, Uriel Prieto and Coach Luis Nino.

Naz boys golf qualifies for Regionals

The Nazareth golf teams competed at the District 1A tournament held in Dimmitt. The girls placed fourth as a team; the boys placed second, qualifying for the Regional meet in Lubbock.
The Dimmitt HS girls golf team advanced to the Regional tournament as District runner up. Team members include Braylynn Chavira, Renata Rodriguez, Alexis Quiroz, Emma Convers and Camila Madrigal. Quiroz and Chavira tied for third place individual. The team is coached by Luis Nino.
