State sales tax revenue $3.8B in March

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $3.78 billion in March, 5.8 percent more than in March 2023.The majority of March sales tax revenue is based on sales made in February and remitted to the agency in March.

The USDA, FDA, and CDC confirmed the bird flu (HPAI) has been found in two dairy herds in Texas and two dairy herds in Kansas, with presumptive positive test results in herds in Idaho, Michigan and New Mexico.According to federal offi cials, bird flu killed more than 82 million birds in U.S.

We were literally in the dark here at Rhoads Memorial Library on March 22, when the electricity went out. Luckily, we had only a few patrons at the time; they were very understanding and patient as we sat out the 45-minute outage.
