A general, misbegotten perception that all universities are, or should be, alike pervades society. Nothing could be further from the truth. Such treatment diminishes the purpose of many universities. Rather, it is critically important to recognize different institutions have different missions.

Council appoints new police chief

The Dimmitt City Council appointed Interim Chief Tony Martinez as the Chief of Police for the Dimmitt Police Department (DPD) at their regular meeting on Monday. According to City Manager Daniel Jackson, Chief Martinez has over 16 years of law enforcement experience.
