Colmenero named interim AG

On Monday, Governor Greg Abbott appointed Angela Colmenero as the interim Attorney General of Texas, under Article 15, Section 5 of the Texas Constitution.

State sales tax $3.9B in June

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $3.92 billion in June, 6.8 percent more than in June 2022. The majority of June sales tax revenue is based on sales made in May and remitted to the agency in June.

Dimmit Chamber golf tourney set Aug. 12

The Dimmitt Chamber of Commerce is already gearing up their annual golf tournament, set for Aug. 12 at Dimmitt Recreation and Country Club. The event will feature a four-person scramble at $400 per team and includes a meal, drink tickets, two mulligans per golfer and one raffle ticket per golfer.
