Families now have say in ending life support

Beginning this Friday, House Bill 3162 will in- crease how much notice hospitals have to give patients’ families from 10 days to 25 days.

Naz wins Lone Star Cup

Nazareth once again has the honor of winning the UIL Lone Star Cup. The UIL Lone Star Cup is awarded annually to six high schools, one in each of the six UIL classifications (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A and 6A), based on their team performance in district and state championships.

Hospital ER parking under construction

Plains Memorial Hospital Emergency Room parking lot and awning will be undergoing construction. The project will begin Sept. 1. During this time, the emergency entrance and parking lot will be closed off.

Harvest Days, Fair big success

The Castro County Fair and Harvest Days celebration has come and gone, but all would agree it was another big success. Events kicked off with a parade with great numerous floats and vehicles, city and county first responders, DHS band, horses and other participants.

CCH donates school supplies

Castro County Healthcare in collaboration with In-a-Jam Nonprofit Agency donated 500 backpacks and school supplies to Dimmitt ISD. The supplies were distributed to each campus with CCH staff attending open house days at Richardson Elementary and Dimmitt Middle School.
