Unemployment figures released for April

Unemployment rates were lower in April in 14 states and stable in 36 states and the District of Columbia, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics U-3 report on May 19. The national unemployment rate, 3.4 percent on the U-3 report, was little changed from March.
